How The Process Works
You Reach Out
Contact DATUM by email, message, or through the website.Complimentary Discovery Call
We schedule a brief conversation to discuss your organization, what you are seeing, and what you would like to better understand.Define the Focus
Together, we determine the questions, concerns, or organizational areas the diagnostic should examine. If you do not have a specific concern, DATUM can conduct a broader assessment to identify strengths, friction points, and potential blind spots.Information Gathering
DATUM conducts confidential interviews with selected personnel and reviews relevant organizational information and documents.Independent Analysis
Information from interviews, documents, and other available sources is analyzed together to identify recurring themes, areas of alignment or disconnect, organizational risks, and opportunities for improvement.Diagnostic Delivered
Leadership receives a written Organizational Diagnostic outlining what was observed, why it matters, and practical recommendations where appropriate.Leadership Discussion
If desired, we meet with leadership to discuss the findings, answer questions, and consider potential next steps.
What You Will Receive
Depending on the scope of the engagement, your organization may receive:
A written Organizational Diagnostic
An independent assessment of organizational strengths and friction points
Identification of recurring themes, gaps, or potential blind spots
Practical recommendations tied to the findings
Prioritized opportunities for improvement
Supporting observations explaining why the findings matter
An optional leadership briefing to discuss the results
A clear starting point for determining what, if anything, should happen next
The objective is not to hand you a generic consulting report. It is to provide an outside perspective that helps leadership better understand what is actually happening inside the organization and make informed decisions about what comes next.
What We May Request From You
Every organization is different. DATUM only requests information relevant to the questions being examined. This may include:
Organizational charts or team structures
Policies, procedures, or SOPs
Strategic plans, goals, or priorities
Employee surveys or existing feedback
Position descriptions or role responsibilities
Internal communication products
Relevant performance or operational information
Access to approximately 5–7 personnel for confidential, 30-minute interviews
You do not need to prepare everything in advance. We will identify what is actually useful during the Discovery Call.
